TOP 10--Still Constructing

My Top 10 Summer Events

01

Lake Belton

Swimming and boating during the summer are two of the best activities around town. There are several parks that allow swimming. Some of my favorites are West Temple Lake Park, BLORA, and Dana Peak Park.

02

Schoepf's Concert Series

Every year Schoepf's opens it's doors on Thursday nights for great eatin' and some good ol' fashioned country music. Get there early to enjoy the best parking and assure yourself a great seat. Thursday Nights 7:00 pm.  Children 0-12 and Adults 21+ are FREE.  (Children 13-20: $5)

03

Time to Hide, Time to Seek

04

4th of July

Belton's 4th of July parade is always a fan favorite.  In the days leading up to the parade there is a Community cook out at Yettie Polk Park, a rodeo, a carnival, and a patriotic concert.  After the parade each year the family celebration continues at Nolan Creek.  Fireworks can be viewed at Miller Park in Temple or at Fort Hood.

05

Nolan Creek

Behind the Gin and Coronas de Oro, the city has created a nice spot to sit quietly by Nolan Creek, feed the ducks, or take a nice stroll.

06

The Courthouse

Set in the middle of town, it's hard to miss! It's such a beautiful building. Bell County Museum even offers tours--so keep your eyes open for their next event.
